新川崎三井大廈

Shin-Kawasaki Mitsui Building is an office tower with 31 floors and a height of 134 meters (440 feet) in Kawasaki. Its ground-floor atrium provides natural lighting and opens to the public with shops and seating areas.

The building opened in 1989 on the site of a former Hitachi manufacturing plant, marking the shift from industrial to commercial use in the area. This transformation reshaped the neighborhood's character.

The structure reflects contemporary Japanese corporate design and serves as a business meeting point between two train stations. Its glass facade and ground-floor atrium create a gathering space for office workers and passing visitors.

The tower connects directly to Kashimada Station, making it easy to reach by public transport. Ground-floor amenities include cafes and shops, with public areas that serve as comfortable rest spots.

The east wing remains restricted to Hitachi employees only and is not open to the public. This arrangement shows how private corporate space can sit within a partially public complex.
