Yumemigasaki Zoological Park

Yumemigasaki Zoological Park is an urban zoo featuring around 61 animal species, including red pandas, ring-tailed lemurs, mountain zebras, and various bird species. The grounds are laid out in a manageable area that is easy to explore.

The zoo opened on November 22, 1972, and was created to offer Kawasaki residents a place for wildlife education and nature learning. Since then, it has developed into an established recreational and educational venue for the city.

The location near Asama Shrine and Yuya Shrine connects this place to Japanese sacred traditions and places of worship. Visitors can feel this connection to the region's past while moving between nature and these historic sites.

The site is about 10 minutes from Shin-Kawasaki station with free admission. It opens daily from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM and offers wheelchair accessibility throughout the grounds for easy navigation.

The zoo allows visitors to bring their own pets, creating an unusual and interesting dynamic between domestic and exotic animals. This rule makes visiting a distinctive experience you rarely find at other zoos.
