Museum of Life in the Shōwa Era, House museum in Minami-Kugahara, Japan.

The Museum of Life in the Shōwa Era occupies a two-story wooden building from 1951, displaying household items and daily necessities from the post-war period.

The Koizumi family residence served as their home for 45 years before becoming a museum in 1999 and receiving cultural property status in 2002.

The museum features traditional Japanese living spaces combined with western influences, including a study area with furniture designed by the original homeowner.

Located near Shimo-Maruko Station, the museum opens from 10:00 to 17:00 with admission fees of 500 yen for adults and 300 yen for children.

The kitchen contains a wooden refrigerator cooled by ice blocks, alongside traditional cooking equipment that demonstrates preservation methods from the Shōwa period.
