Astravas, Manor estate in Biržai, Lithuania
The Astravas Manor features Italian villa architecture with a two-story palace structure and includes a belvedere tower overlooking artificial lakes.
Construction of the manor began in 1849 under Jan Tyszkiewicz's direction after his family purchased the land from Duke Dominik Hieronim Radziwiłł for 450,000 silver rubles.
The manor holds significance as the residence of Eustachy Tyszkiewicz, who established the Vilnius Archaeological Commission and contributed to the Museum of Antiquities.
The manor underwent substantial repairs between 1955 and 1962, leading to the current preserved state of both the building and surrounding park grounds.
The last private owner, Alfred Tyszkiewicz, left for Paris when the estate was expropriated during the 1922 land reforms, marking the end of family ownership.
