Sint-Jacobskapel, Medieval chapel in Nijmegen, Netherlands.

Sint-Jacobskapel is a brick chapel in Nijmegen featuring a three-sided choir and five stained glass windows created by artist Ted Felen. The interior showcases the craftsmanship of these glass works that filter light in distinctive ways.

The chapel originated in 1438 from an inheritance given by a wealthy widow to Sint-Jacobsgasthuis. It later operated as a glassworks until around 1670 before being restored to its religious use.

The chapel connects to the Santiago de Compostela pilgrimage route, offering a quiet place where travelers feel linked to ancient traditions. Its setting and character speak directly to anyone following this historic path.

The chapel opens Saturdays from April through September with volunteers available to provide information about the building. Plan your visit during daylight hours to fully appreciate the details in the stained glass windows.

The chapel stamp for pilgrims features the building's rear elevation with two distinctive Saint James shells framing the border. This design connects the everyday memory of a thousand-year-old spiritual journey with this small location.
