Oudegracht 245 is a building complex made up of connected sections with a wide facade featuring stone arches above the windows. A central tympanum decorates the front, while multiple building segments including a former church and cloister wing form a large unified ensemble.
The complex was created in 1839 by converting parts of the dissolved Regulierenklooster monastery into an orphanage. Incorporating the monastery buildings with their church, cloister, and courtyard preserved these medieval structures for the new purpose.
