't Waliën, Manor estate in Huppel, Netherlands.
't Waliën is a manor estate in Winterswijk with white plastered walls and preserved sections of the west side displaying historical family coats of arms. The property once included multiple outbuildings, among them a retained coach house from the 1800s.
The manor was first documented in 1340 and belonged to the Van Munster family for a long period. Financial troubles during the Eighty Years War weakened the family's hold on the property.
The estate carried the name of a family whose presence shaped the surrounding area for generations. It served as a center for farming and local life in the region over many centuries.
The site is located at Waliënseweg 2 in Winterswijk and can be viewed from outside. The grounds are easy to reach, though visitors should note that only exterior structures are publicly visible.
The main building burned down in 1908 when an oil lamp was overturned, forcing a major change in ownership. The single estate was subsequently divided into ten separate farms.
