Het Utrechts Archief

Het Utrechts Archief is an archive center in Utrecht that collects and preserves records about the city and its province. The institution documents developments in administration, culture, and daily life spanning several centuries.

The archive traces its roots to medieval document collections originally stored in a chest at the Catharijnepoort. In the 16th century, these holdings moved to the Lichtenberg at Stadhuisbrug and have been expanding ever since.
