Grote of Sint-Gudulakerk

The Sint-Gudulakerk features a high western tower from 1478, connected to three naves with ribbed and star-shaped vaults throughout its interior layout.

The church's construction spans multiple centuries, beginning with a wooden structure in the 9th century, followed by stone buildings in subsequent periods.

The interior contains a collection of historical elements including a 1688 pulpit, oak baptismal fence, and grave stones dating from the 16th to 18th centuries.

The church maintains two organs: a main organ from 1758 and a choir organ from 1807, both regularly used for musical performances and services.

Archaeological findings revealed fragments of a 17th-century bell casting mold within the church, indicating bells were manufactured on the premises.
