Bemmel Theaterchurch

Bemmel Theaterchurch is a performance venue housed in a former church building with Neo-Gothic features, large windows, and a central hall suitable for shows. The interior blends original architectural elements with modern stage facilities and contains multiple rooms for different types of events.

Built between 1872 and 1873 as a Catholic parish church, the building served this purpose for more than a century. A comprehensive transformation later converted it into a modern events venue while preserving its key architectural features.

The name refers to a Catholic saint, and visitors can still see traces of its former religious purpose throughout the interior spaces. Today people gather here for theater, music, and community events in rooms that were once dedicated to worship and retain that sense of spiritual heritage.

The venue is centrally located in Bemmel and easily accessible, with an entrance area, bar space, and multiple halls for different events. Visitors should check the events calendar beforehand to learn about current shows and when the space is open for public access.

The windows were created by a local artist in 1950 and remain intact despite the building's conversion to a performance space. These artworks provide a serene backdrop for today's shows and visually connect the two eras of the place.
