Hjorten Revy- og Varietéteater, Theatre building in Ila, Trondheim, Norway
The Hjorten Revy- og Varietéteater features a main stage area designed by architect Karl Norum, located at Ilevollen 15 near the Britannia Hotel.
Established in 1867, the theatre operated until 1947 and was demolished in 1961 to make space for a nursing home facility.
The venue presented performances from European artists, with Fritz and Olga Topp traveling to Hamburg and Berlin to book international performers.
The new theatre, opening in January 2025, will present musicals, folk comedies, and classic dramas with a cast of 30 performers.
The theatre's restaurant, named Olgas, commemorates Olga Topp, who managed the original venue after her husband's death in 1920 and modernized its facilities.
