Kawasan Falls, Multi-tiered waterfall in Badian, Philippines

Kawasan Falls is a three-tiered waterfall where water flows from level to level, creating pools with turquoise water surrounded by tropical plants and rock formations. Each tier has its own character, with deeper pools at the bottom and shallower areas higher up where the water moves more gently.

The site became known to outside visitors starting in the 1980s when local people built the first paths and basic facilities to allow access. Over time, the place has grown from a local secret into a destination that attracts people from across the region and beyond.

The falls hold special meaning for the local community, who have shaped how visitors experience this natural site over the past decades. Today, families and groups gather here regularly, making it a genuine gathering place rather than a purely touristy spot.

You can reach different levels by following marked trails that vary in difficulty, with some paths steep or slippery underfoot. Wear shoes with good grip or water sandals, and bring a change of clothes since you will get wet if you decide to enter the water.

The uppermost tier drops roughly 40 meters into a deep natural pool, while the second cascade is lower and receives far fewer visitors than the bottom level. This makes the higher sections a quieter alternative for those seeking fewer crowds.
