The building was constructed in 1914 as Poland's first department store, setting the standard for retail development in the city. During the 1944 Warsaw Uprising, the structure served the Home Army as a weapons arsenal.
The building shaped how Warsaw residents shopped and introduced them to modern retail practices from the early twentieth century. Visitors can still observe the architectural features that were cutting-edge for the city at that time.
The building is centrally located at Bracka 25 and continues to function as a commercial space after its return to the Jabłkowski family in 2013. Visitors can observe the stained-glass windows and gallery areas that remain integrated within the active building.
