Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Warsaw, Baroque church in Muranów district, Warsaw, Poland.

The Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary is a brick structure with Baroque design, positioned on Solidarności Avenue and recognizable by its balanced proportions and prominent tower. The building's red-brick façade and symmetrical layout have shaped the appearance of this Warsaw neighborhood for generations.

The church was founded in 1682 by Carmelite monks and completed its construction in 1732. A papal representative visited the building to perform the consecration ceremony that established its official religious role.

The church served as a spiritual center for the Polish community during the Second World War and remains deeply connected to the neighborhood's identity. Visitors can sense how the community values this place as part of their shared past and present.

The church is an active place of worship in an urban neighborhood, so visiting may not be possible during services or religious ceremonies. It is helpful to check opening times in advance and dress respectfully when entering the building.

In 1962, the entire building was moved about 21 meters to the north to make room for a new transportation route. This remarkable engineering effort shows how the community valued preserving the structure despite urban modernization plans.
