Emmaus church in Kraków

Emmaus Church in Dębniki is a postmodern religious building with angular forms and exposed concrete elements. Its interior features geometric patterns and rough concrete surfaces that define the entire structure.

Construction began in 1985 under architect Dariusz Kozłowski and was completed in 1996. This period marked significant social changes happening across Poland.

The church serves as a gathering place for the local faith community in this residential neighborhood. Its bold modern design makes it stand out distinctly from the older churches throughout the city.

The building primarily serves as a seminary chapel for the Resurrection Congregation, but regular Sunday services welcome visitors. It is best to check opening times beforehand since the space functions mainly for the religious community.

The church complex actually consists of three separate chapel spaces serving different purposes. Each chapel has its own function within the larger facility.
