Planty im. Józefa Jakubowskiego is an urban park near the railway station covering approximately 2.3 hectares. The space features paved pathways, mature horse chestnut trees, and a mix of deciduous species distributed throughout.

The park originated in the 1860s as green space beside the Sanguszko brewery. City authorities took over its management in 1889, transforming it into a public recreational area.

The park is open 24 hours with illuminated paths and numerous benches available for rest. It is easily accessible on foot, located between Krakowska Street, Dworcowa Street, and Plac Dworcowy.

The park is home to a notable population of crows, jackdaws, and ravens that nest in the tree canopy. This bird community has transformed the space into a natural sanctuary within the urban landscape.
