Planty im. Józefa Jakubowskiego in Tarnów

Located near the railway station, this 2.28-hectare green space features concrete paths, old horse chestnut trees, and various deciduous species throughout the grounds.

The park originated in the 1860s as a green space adjacent to the Sanguszko brewery, and the city authorities took control of its management in 1889.

In 2004, the park received its name from Józef Jakubowski, a lawyer and social activist who initiated city parks and founded the Municipal Museum in Tarnów.

The park maintains 24-hour accessibility with illuminated pathways and multiple benches, situated between Krakowska Street, Dworcowa Street, and Plac Dworcowy.

The park houses a population of crows, jackdaws, and ravens that nest in the treetops, creating a natural bird sanctuary within the urban environment.
