Polana Izerska

Polana Izerska spans across a high-altitude meadow at 965 meters, featuring marshy areas and serving as a water source for the Kwisa and Izerka Rivers.

During the 19th century, the area contained a tavern that became a destination for visitors from Świeradów-Zdrój, leading to the construction of New Izerska Road.

The settlement's post-1945 name change to Drwale reflected the primary occupation of its inhabitants, who worked as woodcutters in the surrounding forests.

The glade contains a forest barn and rain shelter, with multiple marked hiking trails connecting to Świeradów-Zdrój and Szklarska Poręba through the Main Sudeten Trail.

The location sits on the main continental watershed, marking the division between the Baltic Sea and North Sea drainage basins at a high elevation point.
