Дом-музей М. И. Калинина, Historical museum in Verkhnaya Troitsa, Russia
The Kalinin House Museum is a traditional wooden house on the Medveditsa River bank. Inside are personal belongings, photographs, and documents belonging to the family who once lived there.
The house was where a family was born and lived until 1930. The museum opened in 1940 to preserve this family history for future generations.
The house displays furniture and household items that show how families lived in rural areas around 1900. Visitors can see in the rooms how people arranged their spaces and used everyday objects.
The museum is open from Wednesday through Sunday and visitors should allow time to explore all the rooms. Guided tours are available and help explain the displayed items and their significance.
The house underwent major reconstruction between 1913 and 1916 when the traditional Russian stove was relocated to create separate living areas. These structural changes are still visible today and show how homes were adapted over time.
