Соборная мечеть

The Central Mosque is a modern structure with a dome and three slender minarets, built primarily with marble. The complex includes separate prayer halls, ablution areas, and administrative spaces arranged around a central courtyard.

The site had a previous Islamic presence with an earlier mosque and school that operated in the city before the revolution in 1917. The present building was erected between 1998 and 2001, marking a revival of religious activity in the area.

This mosque serves as a gathering place for the Muslim community of Barnaul. Visitors can observe regular prayers and special religious gatherings that shape the rhythm of local religious life.

The complex is accessible with clearly marked entrances and designated areas for visitors of all backgrounds. There are dining facilities on the grounds where you can sample regional and traditional cuisine from Central Asia.

A covered corridor connects the different sections of the complex, allowing visitors to move between prayer areas and communal spaces without going outside. This design reflects how the building merges religious function with daily social interaction.
