The Rose Pavilion stands within the grounds of Pavlovsk Palace, featuring a neoclassical design surrounded by extensive rose gardens and natural landscapes.
Built in 1811 under the reign of Paul I of Russia, the pavilion hosted Emperor Alexander I during celebrations marking Napoleon's defeat in 1814.
The pavilion became a gathering place for literary figures, including poet Vasily Zhukovsky and historian Nikolai Karamzin, who attended Maria Feodorovna's salon.
Visitors can explore the pavilion and its surrounding gardens from May through October as part of the larger Pavlovsk Museum-Preserve complex.
During World War II, German forces dismantled parts of the pavilion for military fortifications, leading to extensive restoration work in subsequent decades.
