Talovskie Chashi, Protected natural monument near Tomsk, Russia.
The site features four large mineral springs shaped like bowls with limestone walls, containing water rich in calcium, potassium, and manganese salts.
Professor A.M. Zaitsev from Tomsk State University first documented these natural formations in 1895, leading to their protection status in 1962.
Local inhabitants regularly collect water from these springs, following a long tradition of using it for treating various health conditions.
The natural monument stands 40 kilometers southeast of Tomsk, accessible through a 3.8-kilometer walking path from the nearest railway station.
The basin walls contain bernesite, a rare mineral found in only two locations across Russia, giving the formations their characteristic earth-colored appearance.
