The memorial features a 6.45-meter central obelisk with a soldier's bust at the top and a golden-colored sculpture of a woman with a child at the base.

During World War II, 85 residents from Khatyryk region joined the military forces, with 56 individuals losing their lives or going missing in action.

The memorial incorporates triangular steles displaying commemorative plaques with the names of 104 war participants from the local community.

The memorial grounds include protective metal fencing, floodlight illumination, and a designated area for conducting official ceremonies and remembrance events.

Local residents collectively funded the memorial's construction in 1982, following the design of sculptor Agafangel Ivanich Lukin.
