Borås rådhus, Town hall in Borås, Sweden
The Borås Town Hall stands at the central square, constructed with Helsingborg bricks and featuring National Romantic architectural elements throughout its structure.
Architects Ivar Tengbom and Ernst Torulf designed this municipal building, which opened its doors on March 7, 1910, housing police, courts, and city administration.
The building represents Swedish civic architecture with its clock tower, traditional masonry work, and detailed sculptural elements created by the original architects.
The town hall currently functions as the district court of Borås, with the municipal administration having relocated to new premises in 1957.
A carillon, added through a donation in 1944, rings from the building, marking time for the residents of Borås.
