Kinoteatr Zhovten, Historic movie theater in Podil district, Kyiv, Ukraine
Cinema Zhovten features six screening halls within a distinctive architectural structure designed by Valerian Rykov on Kostyantyinvs'ka Street in central Kyiv.
Established in 1931 as the Ninth State Cinema, this entertainment venue survived closure in the 1990s and underwent restoration following a fire in 2014.
The cinema schedules regular screenings of international films in original languages and serves as a primary venue for Ukrainian film festivals.
Visitors can purchase tickets through online platforms and attend screenings daily from 10:00 to 23:00, with access to both mainstream and independent films.
The building represents one of the earliest examples of public cinema architecture in Ukraine and maintains its original structural elements from the 1930s.
