The museum occupies a single-story building near Florovsky Monastery gates, displaying 3,000 pharmaceutical items across twelve exhibition halls focused on medical history.
German pharmacist Johann Heiter established the first private pharmacy in this location during 1728, receiving an operating license through a decree from Emperor Peter II.
The museum collection includes Russian, German, and Polish pharmacopoeias from past centuries, along with prescription registers and documents from Kyiv pharmacists.
The museum opens daily from 9:00 to 13:00 and 14:00 to 18:00, offering guided tours through the halls and basement containing an alchemist laboratory reconstruction.
The basement vault features medieval pharmaceutical practices through specialized setups including a hall-cave and reconstructed monastic healing chambers.
