H. G. W. Mayberry House, Greek Revival plantation residence in Franklin, United States.

The H. G. W. Mayberry House is a residential property in Williamson County, Tennessee, featuring brick construction with a two-story portico and elements from both Greek Revival and Renaissance Revival styles. The structure sits on approximately 2.2 acres of land near Bear Creek Road.

The house was built in 1856 and ranked among the three largest plantations in Williamson County, encompassing more than 1,000 acres at its peak. The property developed as a major estate during the antebellum period in the region.

The residence reflects how wealthy landowners expressed their taste through carefully designed architectural details. The classical elements reveal the refined aesthetic preferences of the rural planter class during that era.

The estate is located west of Carters Creek Pike on Bear Creek Road and preserves its original structural elements. The rural setting means daytime visits are best for exploring the property and its surrounding grounds.

The property was purchased in 2002 by country music performers Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, who continue to reside there. This connection to the music industry has linked the estate to contemporary cultural life in Franklin.
