Heckscher Park, Historic municipal park in Huntington, United States.
Heckscher Park encompasses 18 acres of land with a central pond, tennis courts, playgrounds, and walking paths throughout the grounds.
August Heckscher and his wife Nannie donated this parkland to the town of Huntington, which officially transferred to town stewardship in 1954.
The Heckscher Museum of Art within the park presents exhibitions of Long Island artists and conducts educational programs for the local community.
The park features a one-third mile jogging path, four lighted tennis courts, bocce courts, and restroom facilities for public use.
The Harry Chapin Rainbow Stage hosts free performances during the Huntington Summer Arts Festival from late June through early August.
