Shack Mountain, Colonial Revival house in Charlottesville, United States.
The one-story, T-shaped residence features two projecting octagonal spaces at the front, with a Tuscan portico supported by paired stucco columns.
Built in 1935 as a retirement home for architectural historian Fiske Kimball, the property received National Historic Landmark designation in October 1992.
The design pays tribute to Thomas Jefferson's architectural principles, incorporating elements from Farmington and Pavilion IX at the University of Virginia.
Located two miles north of Charlottesville, the property includes a basement for utilities and a rear wing containing kitchens and bedrooms.
Triple-hung sash windows and Chinese Chippendale pattern balustrades decorate the exterior, while a curved door leads to a round vestibule inside.
