St. Gregory's Abbey, Three Rivers

St. Gregory's Abbey Church serves as the spiritual heart of a Benedictine monastic community, featuring traditional stone architecture and simple functional design that emphasizes contemplative worship and prayer.

Founded in 1939 by monks from England's Nashdom Abbey, the community established their permanent monastery in 1946 and became fully independent in 1969 after three decades of connection to their founding house.

The abbey follows the Rule of Saint Benedict within the Episcopal Church tradition, conducting seven daily liturgical services including Eucharist and Divine Office using the 1979 Book of Common Prayer.

Visitors can participate in retreats lasting several days, staying in two guesthouses and a cottage while joining the monastic community for prayer, meals, and periods of silence and reflection.
