University of Michigan student housing consists of residence halls spread across three main campus areas that provide accommodation for undergraduates and graduate students. Each hall includes dining facilities and shared spaces where residents spend time together outside the classroom.

The residence halls were constructed over many decades and repeatedly updated to meet growing campus needs. Many buildings underwent major renovations to improve comfort and create better spaces for community living.

The Northwood Community brings together residents from more than 80 countries, creating opportunities for international connections among graduate students and families.

The residence halls are located on different sides of campus and walkable, though exploring them requires covering some distance. All facilities are accessible and offer various amenities to support students' daily needs and routines.

The Munger Graduate Residences, opened in 2015 following a $110 million donation, implements a specific design focused on collaborative living and research environments.
