Alexander C. Eschweiler designed this commercial building as part of a chain that operated throughout Milwaukee until its acquisition by Vacuum Oil Company in 1930.
The station exhibits Japanese-influenced architecture with black walls, yellow trim, and stamped-metal roofing that characterized early automotive service buildings.
The structure remains visible from the street at coordinates 43°0'43"N 88°0'27"W and currently functions as a museum displaying transportation history.
This filling station represents one of the few remaining examples from over 100 pagoda-style stations constructed between 1917 and 1930.
