Victory Theatre is a historic concert hall and theatre building on Main Street in downtown Evansville, Indiana, with seating across multiple levels for around 1,950 people. The interior draws on Italian-inspired design, while the facade is marked by a large marquee lit by around 3,000 light bulbs.
The Victory Theatre opened in 1921 as a silent film venue and made the shift to sound pictures in 1928. Over the following decades, it moved away from cinema and became a space for live performances.
The Victory Theatre is home to the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra, which performs here regularly throughout the season. Broadway shows and dance productions also take the stage, making it a central gathering place for live entertainment in the city.
