Oscar's Wacky Taxi

Oscar's Wacky Taxi is a wooden roller coaster at Sesame Place with a height of about 43 feet and a drop of approximately 39 feet. The track stretches over 1,205 feet and achieves speeds of around 34 miles per hour.

The coaster was manufactured by Gravitykraft Corporation and opened on May 26, 2018. It represented the largest investment made at the park in nearly 40 years of operation.

The ride draws its theme from the children's television series Sesame Street, with train cars styled as yellow taxis connected to Oscar's character. Visitors notice familiar details from this television show woven throughout the ride's design.

Children must be at least 40 inches tall to ride, and younger passengers under 46 inches need an adult supervisor with them. It helps to check height requirements before waiting in line to avoid disappointment.

Each train has six cars seating two riders per row, with the front car displaying Oscar's character wearing a yellow cap and his pet snail Slimy perched on top. This detail creates a distinctive visual experience drawn directly from the television program.
