Hoang Van Thu Bridge, Modern bridge in Haiphong, Vietnam
The Hoang Van Thu Bridge extends across the Cam River with a total length of 1,570 meters and features four motor lanes and two mixed lanes.
The bridge opened in October 2019 as part of the infrastructure development plan to connect Haiphong city center with the Northwest suburb of Thuy Nguyen.
The bridge structure takes the form of a flying seagull, incorporating local maritime elements into its architectural design through its main arch span.
The bridge includes dedicated pedestrian walkways with elevators on both sides, making it accessible for pedestrians while serving as a major transportation artery.
The structure incorporates over 6000 LED modules mounted on its cable-stayed structure, creating dynamic light displays visible throughout the waterfront area.
