Golden Bridge, Pedestrian bridge in Ba Na Hills, Da Nang, Vietnam
Golden Bridge is a 150-meter-long, 5-meter-wide steel footbridge that winds through the Ba Na Hills near Da Nang. Two large stone hands hold the golden-colored structure as it stretches across the terrain, surrounded by greenery.
The Sun World Ba Na Hills resort commissioned the footbridge in 2018 to expand its visitor offerings. The hands were shaped by local craftsmen and designed to appear as if rising from the earth itself.
The Vietnamese name Cầu Vàng refers to the golden color of the structure. Visitors come to stand between the stone fingers and take photographs, with the hands becoming almost as important as the walkway itself.
This spot is only reachable by cable car to the Ba Na Hills complex, located about 40 kilometers from central Da Nang. The narrow width means groups sometimes form, especially when many people want to take photographs.
The stone hands appear weathered by moss and rain, as if they had been part of the landscape for centuries. On clear afternoons the fingers cast long shadows across the golden walkway, while clouds gather below the level of the structure.
