My Thuan 2 Bridge

My Thuan 2 Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge crossing the Tien River with six lanes for traffic between the provinces of Tiền Giang and Vĩnh Long. The structure spans approximately two kilometers and features a dramatic central opening supported by steel cables.

Construction started in 2020 to address growing traffic demands in Vietnam's Mekong Delta region. The project was developed to improve connections between northern and southern parts of the country.

The bridge connects communities on both sides of the Tien River, enabling regular movement of people between Tiền Giang and Vĩnh Long provinces. It has become an important passage for families and workers who cross between these regions every day.

The bridge runs about 350 meters upstream from the original My Thuan Bridge and serves as a modern traffic route. The best time to explore is during daylight when traffic is active and the structure is visible in good light.

The original My Thuan Bridge, just 350 meters away, was the region's first modern cable bridge and still carries traffic today. Visitors can compare both structures and observe how bridge engineering techniques have evolved over recent years.
