Kirche Klosterlausnitz

Kirche Klosterlausnitz is a Romanesque church in Bad Klosterlausnitz that combines two building periods visible in its architecture. The older eastern section displays early Romanesque design while the newer western portion was added later, creating a structure that evolved over time.

The building originated as part of an Augustinian monastery founded in 1132 and developed into a significant religious institution. Construction of the stone church took place between 1155 and 1180, replacing an earlier wooden structure.

The church serves as a spiritual and social center for the local Protestant community, hosting regular services and musical events that bring people together.
