The two-story castle exhibits classical decorations throughout its rooms, including the Chinese Room, Pompeii Room, Bird Room, and Peacock Room.
Ernst Ferdinand von Knoch commissioned Johann Christoph Knöffel to construct the castle between 1721 and 1731 as a demonstration of Saxon architecture.
The Mirror Hall hosts classical music concerts while the dining hall offers traditional dishes that reflect the culinary heritage of Saxon nobility.
The castle provides wheelchair access throughout its park and ground floor areas, with a dedicated stairlift for visitors with mobility requirements.
The castle stands as the only fully maintained manor in Saxony, positioned near Bautzen in the foothills of the Lusatian Mountains.
