Dragonfly Trimarans

Dragonfly Trimarans is a boat manufacturer in Skærbæk that builds sailing vessels with three parallel hulls connected by side beams. The design provides better stability and handling while keeping the boats efficient.

The company started in 1994 under the Quorning family following earlier work that began in 1967. The folding hull system developed in 1989 changed how boats could be stored and transported.

Danish maritime craftsmanship shapes how these boats are built, with methods adapted for northern European sailing conditions. The building traditions reflect local knowledge passed down through generations.

The folding system lets boats fit into standard marina spaces, which saves room and makes storage easier. The retractable centerboard and rudder also work in shallow waters.

The Dragonfly 28 measures 2.54 meters wide and was designed to fit within EU road transport regulations. This careful sizing makes it possible for owners to transport their boats on public roads without special permits.
