The neoclassical manor house stands eleven kilometers northwest of Nykøbing, featuring a rectangular two-story structure with ornate stucco rosettes and cast iron entrance staircase.

The estate belonged to Folmer Folmersen in 1351, underwent name changes under King Frederick II, and was acquired by the Grandjean family in 1809 for 30,000 rigsdaler.

The Danish Heritage Agency recognized both the new and old main buildings as protected structures on April 13, 1950, preserving their architectural significance.

The estate encompasses 1010 hectares of land bordering Guldborgsund in the west, maintaining agricultural operations while preserving its historical structures.

Architect Otto Michael Glahn designed the current building in 1845 following Late Empire style, incorporating decorative elements that remain intact today.
