José Luis Pérez Canca Pavillion

The José Luis Pérez Canca Pavilion is a sports venue in Cruz de Humilladero featuring seating for spectators and modern facilities for athletic training. The building includes locker rooms, weight training areas, a cycling room, and storage spaces designed to support multiple sports activities.

The facility was constructed during the 1980s as a new sports venue and underwent phased development, with the main structure completed by the late 1980s. Full operation began after technical installations were finished in the following years.

The pavilion serves as the home for Costa del Sol Málaga's handball team and regularly draws crowds to local sports competitions. The venue brings together people from across the region to watch athletic events and participate in regional sports activities.

The venue is equipped with ramps and accessible areas for visitors with mobility concerns. When attending events, arriving early helps ensure convenient parking and easier access to the facility.

During the 2020 pandemic, the hall was rapidly transformed into a temporary field hospital within weeks to provide medical care. This quick conversion demonstrated how flexible the space could be adapted for different urgent needs.
