Denton Hall, Wharfedale, Georgian country house in Denton, England

The 18th-century stone mansion features symmetrical facades, large windows, and classical architectural elements within a 2,500-acre estate between Otley and Ilkley.

Completed in 1778 by architect John Carr after two previous buildings burned down, the hall belonged to notable families including the Vavasours and Fairfax.

The estate includes period furniture delivered by Thomas Chippendale, who was born in the parish, and the Gillow firm of Lancaster.

Located north of River Wharfe at coordinates 53.934, -1.7765, the Grade I listed building maintains its original structural elements and interior design.

The hall appeared in the 1942 film The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp, serving as the fictional residence of the Wynne family.
