Elmwood College

Elmwood College operates as a specialized agricultural institution situated on a 350-acre working farm near Cupar, featuring modern classrooms, horticultural facilities, greenhouses, and extensive outdoor learning areas for practical land management education.

Founded in 1972 as a dedicated land-based college, Elmwood began with agricultural and horticultural courses before expanding its facilities and later merging with Scotland's Rural College in 2012 to form part of a larger educational network.

The college maintains strong connections with Scotland's rural communities through partnerships with local farming organizations, estate managers, and conservation groups, fostering traditional land stewardship practices alongside modern sustainable farming techniques.

Students can access five libraries across SRUC campuses, modern fitness facilities, specialized animal care units, and an 18-hole golf course, with transportation links via bus, car, and rail connecting to nearby towns and cities.

Elmwood College operates its own working 18-hole golf course with clubhouse facilities, providing students with hands-on training opportunities in golf course management, greenkeeping, and sports turf maintenance alongside traditional agricultural studies.
