Art collections of Holkham Hall, Art collection at Holkham Hall, Norfolk, United Kingdom

The Holkham Hall collection presents paintings by Rubens, Van Dyck, Gainsborough, and Claude Lorrain, alongside ancient Roman marble sculptures and classical busts.

Thomas Coke, first Earl of Leicester, assembled the collection during his Grand Tour of Italy from 1712 to 1718, forming the basis of Holkham Hall's design.

The State Rooms display ancient sculptures, original furniture, and European tapestries that reflect the refined tastes of generations of the Coke family.

Visitors can explore the art collection through guided tours from March to October, with the hall opening daily between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

The mansion's symmetrical design allows direct views through multiple open doors, creating visual connections from the Long Library to the Chapel.
