Aycliffe Stadium, Racing stadium in Newton Aycliffe, United Kingdom.

Aycliffe Stadium was a racing venue in Newton Aycliffe featuring a 370-yard oval tarmac circuit designed for multiple motorsport events. The facility regularly hosted stock car competitions and greyhound racing alongside other racing activities.

The venue opened in 1946 on former grassland and initially hosted greyhound racing events. Over time it became known for speedway and stock car competitions before closing its doors in 1989.

The stadium served as a gathering place where the local community came together for annual fireworks displays during Guy Fawkes Night celebrations. These events became part of the town's rhythm and brought neighbors together outside of racing activities.

The site is no longer operational and visitors will find little remaining of the original racing infrastructure. It is advisable to research the current condition and accessibility of the location before planning a visit.

The track earned the nickname 'Action Track' because its tight corners created intense racing conditions that thrilled spectators. This name perfectly captured the excitement that drivers and fans experienced at the venue.
