Farrar Road Stadium, Football stadium in Bangor, Wales
Farrar Road Stadium was a football ground with wooden stands offering around 700 seats alongside standing areas for additional spectators. The venue could hold approximately 1,500 people during matches.
The stadium opened in 1922 and served as the home ground for Bangor City Football Club throughout its long history. It was demolished in 2012 after nearly 9 decades of use.
The stadium grounds hosted numerous Welsh Cup matches, including a notable final against Wrexham that drew 10,000 supporters in 1979.
The location was centrally placed in Bangor with good connections to local transport options and vehicle parking available on site. Visitors could easily reach the ground using public transport or by driving.
The final match took place on 27 December 2011 when Bangor defeated Prestatyn Town 5-3 in a farewell game. This closing event marked the end of an era for the local football club.
