The two-story stone building features local rubble masonry walls, pebbledashed render, sash windows, and a slate roof with prominent chimney stacks.
William Griffiths constructed Carreglwyd in 1634, following the purchase of the land known as Ty'n y Pant for 700 pounds in 1544.
The central hall displays refined architectural elements from the 17th century, including detailed plasterwork, joinery craftsmanship, and a grand staircase.
The estate opens its gardens to visitors during spring season and functions as a venue for conferences, weddings, and the annual Gottwood electronic music festival.
The grounds contain an informal lake surrounded by ornamental wooded gardens that maintain their 19th-century layout while incorporating elements from the 18th century.
