Roman Catholic Church of St John of Beverley, Gothic Revival Roman Catholic church in Beverley, England
The church features a prominent stone facade with Gothic architectural elements, including pointed arches and detailed window tracery at the corner of York Street.
Constructed between 1897 and 1898 with funding from Lady Sykes, this Grade II listed building replaced an earlier Catholic chapel established in 1791.
The church maintains regular Catholic services and functions as a central religious institution for the Roman Catholic community in the East Riding of Yorkshire.
Sunday Mass services take place at 6:30 PM on Saturdays and 10:45 AM on Sundays, with additional pastoral care extending to churches in Hornsea and Marton.
The construction of this church marked the first Catholic establishment in Beverley after the English Reformation, with a total building cost of £1,560.
