Digha Gate

Digha Gate, Entrance gate in Digha, India

Digha Gate is an entrance structure on the West Bengal coast with a central section and two smaller openings on either side. The blue and white coloring mimics the design of fishing boats and is constructed from steel and concrete elements.

The gate was completed in 2014 and marked an important milestone in Digha's development as a coastal destination. The construction was part of infrastructure initiatives to promote tourism in the region.

The gate functions as a gathering point during local celebrations and reflects the maritime connection of the coastal community. The blue and white coloring mirrors traditional fishing boats that are characteristic of this region.

The gate stands on National Highway 116B near Gorsi Mouja after Alakeshpur and is easily accessible by road. Visitors can head toward the beaches or explore the surrounding areas from this point.

The structure is illuminated at night and makes the gate a striking landmark for visitors upon arrival. This lighting not only aids navigation but also creates a welcoming landmark point in the twilight hours.
