Equestrian statue of Redvers Buller, Bronze military monument at Hele Road junction in Exeter, England.
The equestrian statue presents General Sir Redvers Buller mounted on his horse Biffen, cast in bronze weighing 4.5 tons upon a 35-ton Cornish granite base.
Adrian Jones created this memorial in 1905 to honor General Buller, who received the Victoria Cross for his actions during the Anglo-Zulu War.
The statue carries inscriptions detailing campaigns in India, China, Canada, Ashanti, Egypt, Sudan, and South Africa, reflecting British military expansion from 1859 to 1900.
Located between St David's Church and Bury Meadow Park, the statue stands at the intersection of New North Road and Hele Road near Exeter College.
The sculpture faces away from Crediton, General Buller's birthplace, causing discontent among local residents during its initial placement.
